Bring your army and lay down a challenge! Painting of your army is not necessary but highly recommended. If you do not have an army the club presently has about 1500 points of Orks and Space Marines available for use.

Battles consist of two or more players, each fielding an army of an agreed value usually between 500 and 2,000 points and played on tables four feet in width and six feet in length. Smaller or larger tables are available for spearhead, Battle Missions, Planetstrike, Cities of Death or Apocalypse games.

Terrain is an important part of playing 40K and at OMTS you have a fantastic range to choose from to make your battles more elaborate and challenging.

Game Rules are required to ensure players have an even playing field and to make the gaming fun. On the 23rd of June, 2012 Games-workshop released their Sixth Edition: Key changes include rules for flyers, Psychic Powers, close-combat and wound allocations. They also added the Alliance system, Warlord traits and the choice to include a fortification as part of your force. Please refer to a rule book for full details. If these ‘new’ rules are difficult to swallow you can ‘agree’ to play using any previous edition. The club presently has a copy of the Fifth edition rules available for players otherwise check with other gamers who may have the Sixth edition available to refer to.

We no longer have a BattleScribe repository for Warhammer 40,000 for a variety of reasons, chief of this is there is a more up to date one maintained by the community and very easy to find on Google.
